MFK Bochum: SONIC HIGHWAY→Motorest

Od roku 2020 sa umelecká skupina MFK Bochum pohybuje  pri okrajoch diaľnice A40 v Porúrí a formuluje (dis)harmonickú odpoveď na zvuk cesty, ktorá je súčasťou najväčšej a najhlučnejšej aglomerácie v Nemecku. Umelecký výskum automobilizmu a diaľničnej infraštruktúry ich priviedol až k európskej ceste E50, ktorá spája západ s východom a jeho súčasťou je aj slovenská D1. 

V site specific projekte SONIC HIGHWAY pozvali v Bochume ľudí priamo k diaľnici, do červenej hlukovej zóny aby vstúpili na miesta kdesi medzi odpadkami a ojedinelými rastlinami, ktoré sa bežne dajú zažívať len z interiéru auta. Situácia na D1 je však radikálne iná. Úsek Lietavská Lúčka - Dubná skala je už roky vo výstavbe a stále nie je spojazdnený. Je tu pokoj, v telách v jej okolí nerezonuje hluk vozidiel, kde tu počuť pípanie bagrov, ovce,  zvuk manipulácie s materiálom a to všetko sa mieša so zvukom rádia zamestnancov z Indie, ktorí robia posledné, tzv. kozmetické úpravy pred spojazdnením. Tichú diaľnicu možno zažiť ešte pár mesiacov, potom bude asi všetko inak. 

MFK Bochum pozýva návštevníkov a návštevníčky KioSKu navštíviť miesto plánovaného motorestu. Možno si dať grotto bagetu, možno vypiť dáky nápoj, pokochať sa malofatranskou scenériou, betónovou architektúrou  a zažiť diaľnicu, ktorá zatiaľ nenaplnila svoj potenciál stať sa tokom rôznych tiel, vecí a kapitálu.

Since 2020, the art group MFK Bochum has been moving along the edges of the A40 motorway in the Ruhr area and formulating a (dis)harmonious response to the sound of the road, which is part of the largest and noisiest conurbation in Germany. Their artistic research into motoring and motorway infrastructure has led them to the European E50 road, which connects west to east and includes the Slovak D1.

In the site-specific project SONIC HIGHWAY in Bochum, they invited people directly to the motorway, to the red noise zone, to enter places somewhere among the garbage and isolated plants that can normally only be experienced from inside a car. The situation on D1, however, is radically different. The Lietavská Lúčka - Dubná skala section has been under construction for years and is still not operational. It is quiet here, the noise of vehicles does not resonate in the bodies in its vicinity, where the beeping of excavators, sheep, the sound of material handling can be heard, and all this is mixed with the sound of the radio of employees from India who are making the last, so-called cosmetic adjustments before it is put into operation. The silent highway may be experienced for a few more months, then everything will probably be different.

MFK Bochum invites visitors and visitors to KioSK to visit the site of the planned motorway. Maybe have a grotto baguette, maybe have a drink, enjoy the Little Fatra scenery, the concrete architecture and experience a motorway that has not yet fulfilled its potential to become a flow of different bodies, things and capital.
