Festival Kiosk každý rok hľadá tému, ktorá sa dotýka alebo definuje slovenskú, respektíve stredoeurópsku scénu. V aktuálnom 17. ročníku sa zmeriame na INVÁZIE a ich rôzne podoby.

Invázie chápeme ako stretnutia s neznámym, ako strach z nového a z toho, čomu nerozumieme. Invazívne môžu byť rastliny, zvuky, divadelné formy, ale aj odlišné názory či cudzie kultúry. Ako na to všetko môže reagovať divadelný festival? Budeme hľadať cudzorodé prvky v mestách, v prírode, v komunitách, regiónoch, v ľuďoch a skúmať, čím nás menia a formujú. Kedy a ako je invázia násilná a devastačná, a kedy vie byť impulzom pre pokrok či nové perspektívy? 

Do Žiliny a jej okolia prináša festival slovenské divadelné aj tanečné inscenácie a performancie, rozmanité intervencie do verejného priestoru, zvukové a vizuálne inštalácie, diskusie a ďalšie viac či menej invazívne umelecké formy. Príďte zažiť blízke stretnutie neopakovateľného druhu!

CLOSE ENCOUNTER FESTIVAL

Festival Kiosk looks for a theme every year that affects or defines the Slovak or Central European scene. In the current 17th year, we will explore INVASIONS and their various forms.

We understand invasions as encounters with the unknown, as fear of the new and of what we do not understand. Plants, sounds, theatrical forms, but also different opinions or foreign cultures can be invasive. How can a theater festival react to all this? We will look for foreign elements in cities, in nature, in communities, regions, in people and investigate how they change and shape us. When and how is the invasion violent and devastating, and when can it be an impetus for progress or new perspectives?

The festival brings to Žilina and its surroundings Slovak theater and dance productions and performances, diverse interventions in public space, sound and visual installations, discussions and other more or less invasive art forms. Come and experience a close encounter of a unique kind!
